It is amazing to see how someĀ farangs (foreigners) are so easily scammed by bad Thai
ladies, in particular the ladies who try to hide previous marriages from their fiances.
Here is a neat little article on how to read the Thai national ID card, written in Thai – and to learn what the Thai language word looks like when the girls is still married:
Is your Thai fiance still married?
Enjoy!

I LIVE IN RANGSIT PHATHUMTRANEE.
I saw a post that was very similar on Yahoo News a while back. I think that it was written by a former war correspondent, wish a could find the hyperlink. He mainly has the same conclusion so I reckon it would be repetitive anyhow.
The article is correct that it is possible for a Thai female to have had a previous marriage which ended and later replaced her card with one the says “Miss”. What it omits to cover is that a Thai female could very well be showing an ID card which has a good validity date and says “Miss” although she’s gotten married since it was issued. Only a competent investigation by a professional private investigator like Thai-Spy.com Thailand Private Investigators can settle the matter one way or the other.
