It is common knowledge that the number of times men have sex is often higher than reality. — It is also often true that women like to downplay the number of times they have had sex.
A good rule of thumb is to divide the number of times a man has had sex by 2 and multiply the number of times a woman has had sex by 2 to get a somewhat realistic number. (smile) — In other words when a woman says she has had 3 intimate encounters it is really twice as high i.e. six (6).
But wouldn’t it be nice for the women to have lots erotic experiences to bring to their current relationship and make their boyfriend happy? Good love-making is not a given, it is learned from lots of experience.
So, why do women artificially deflate their sexual encounters?
The answer is: In your old male dominated society – for at least a 100 years – the men considered women that had sex before marriage as soiled “merchandise”.
However, even today while we live in a modern world with liberating New Age thinking, there are still male feelings of jealousy and insecurity of their woman. This makes men look for women who do not “appear” to like sex with different men – too much. And, women comply by looking shy and innocent to catch their “good man”. (smile)
This is truly a double standard, since even though men do enjoy sex – and are ready for action on short notice – they will prefer their “serious” romantic partner to have little romantic experience. And, it is also not good for women, since they are denying who they really are as physical human beings.
Luckily there is a man – perhaps many years ahead of his time – preaching how women should stop being so guilty and shameful about their sexual desires, and that men should stop calling women “sluts”, just because they enjoy recreational sex.

I once made the mistake of telling my then Thai girlfriend the true number of women I had slept with. Though she jokingly used to call me a butterfly, she didn’t find it too funny when she found out just how right she actually was. Anyway, I learned my lesson!

It’s because of supply & demand. Men cannot get sex so easily so if a man gets sex from so different women, he’s respected. A woman, on the other hand, can get sex VERY easily (come on, be real, all they have to do is go to a bar and talk to a few men and that’s it!) but can’t get COMMITMENT so getting a great man to commit yields some great respect while giving sex easily makes her not so respected.
